These are all really interesting. David and I both really dug the first one. I liked all the contrasting elements, and I found myself tapping my foot. I love the loooong guitars of the second track, and totally disagree with Matthew that it should've been three-minutes long.
Nothing like the songs you're posting, but I've been listening to Miriam Makeba's Pata Pata on repeat for the last few months, and it sure makes me happy/inspired.

ReplyDeletetrack one: not a big fan, except for the xylopohone or whatever it is ringing out over the voice and guitar in the first minute.
track two: that guitar player is ... I don't know what to say -it's SOOOO perfect. And the hands shaking in the air!
there's a lot of fat on this track (it should be three rather than eight minutes long), for me, but what do I know?!
track three: Wonderful. I should've smoked a very big joint...

Actually, I always tap my foot, I just realized. But I tapped with especial vigor.
