The top and bottom ones look like paintings (which is a much higher compliment than to say that paintings look like photographs, at least in the way that most people mean it). The middle one is haunting.

What a great genre for photography. Set ridiculous and seemingly artistry-confining boundaries, and see what you can do.
I don't know how you would go about trying to take pictures like that, I don't think I posses the appropriate photographic chops. I rely on accidents.
